I co-founded this weekly webseries with John Macey and Cameron Miller. Our main goal with this project has been to put up one short film per week, made up of improvised material based on audience suggestions or our own premises, shot and edited in less than 48 minutes (active time). My particular challenge as director/DP/editor has been to develop my ability to think and act quickly in order to fit into the short time allotted. We may not always succeed in staying under 48 minutes — particularly on the more complex edits, such as our shorts compilations from week 3 and week 11 — but I have learned to manage my workflow well, shoot with editing in mind, and edit very quickly, and, with my co-creators and our other participating actors, we have created some funny and interesting material.

This film was produced through SAG New Media and recently won an Award of Merit from The Accolade Competition. It was written by John Macey, and it stars him along with Jacqueline Gill, Mark Stablein, and Kelly DeSarla. I was thrilled to have the chance to work with such a fantastic cast for this very special project. This film was my first experience producing through SAG, as well as my first opportunity to direct a narrative short.
